Youth Worker Resources
Here are some resources that can benefit any youth leader. Most all youth ministry sites have some free resources on them. Also, if you subscribe to a particular site's e-Newsletter, they will usually send you freebies or tell you where you can find some.
*The Source for Youth Ministry- Jonathan McKey's website. Everything is free! Games, topical curriculum, event ideas, skits, etc. Also, a great youth slang dictionary.
*Youth Specialties- The gold standard. Great articles, resources and freebies. Also, the best e-newsletter. They also happen to publish my favorite youth ministry magazine, "Youthworker Journal".
*Simply Youth Ministry- Doug Field's site. Great resources for sale, but don't miss the "Freebies" link on the left of the home page.
*Sermon Central
Free sermons and sermon outlines. Easy topical search. Not specifically youth oriented.
*Youth Minstry.com- Group Publishing's youth ministry site. Great resources to buy, but lots of free stuff too. You do have to register though.
*Pastor 2 Youth.com- Another site with lots of free stuff. Again, you will need to register.
*Youth Pastor.com- Another site that is all about "free".
*Josh McDowell- He also has a great page where you can find his reasearch and speaking notes. It's hard to find though. So, click HERE for that page.
*Youth Ministry Spot - A youth ministry site that allows youth workers to share ideas. Again, free.
*Seek and Find.org- An excellent site for seekers and for those coming along side them. You can type in any qustion or topic and get a scripture based article to answer and enlighten.
*Dare 2 Share- Greg Steir's site. Great evangelism ideas.
*Capture Their Hearts
A joint effort of Dare 2 Share and Focus on the Family. Teens and youth workers can sign up for devotional emails. The best part is youth workers can sign up for free weekly curriculum that follows those emails and will work even if the kids aren't doing the dailies. Also, parents can also sign up for weekly follow up guides to talk with their teens about the devotions.
*Acquire The Fire- Ron Luce and Teen Mania's site.
*Center for Parent/Youth Understanding- A great resource for youth culture information.
*Ypulse- Daily news and commentary about youth from a media and marketing perspective.
*Online Spiritual Gifts Test- An online tool to help you discover where your strengths are within the seven main spiritual giftings.
*Youth Link Ministries- Bob Dunn's site. A must if you are a youth worker in AZ and would like to get to know others who are doing what you're doing in your area.
*National Network Of Youth Ministries- A great network and support site for youth workers.
