Camp 2009 IS Happening! Apparently there is a rumor circulating that camp was canceled. This is not true and these dates have been posted here since September 2008. We are joining a handful of Southern California Districts for Youth camps for summer 2009. There are, in fact TWO camps this summer. One camp for Junior High and one for Senior High- both will be held at Camp Cedar Crest in California. Junior High camp is Monday through Friday, July 13-17th. Senior High camp is Monday through Friday, July 27-31st. Prices for each camp are $163 per camper and $82.50 per leader. Among the things we will get to experience this year that we haven't in the past 5 years or so are WATER, and FIRE! Not only that but there will be almost twice as many teens at each camp, compared to the one camp we have had in the recent past. For more info on camps click HERE.

Dysfucntional 2009 Foursquare Southwest District Youth Camps Summer is fast approaching and that means CAMP is just around the corner. Camp this year is in California! We will enjoy both camps at Camp Cedar Crest which is located at 33325 Camp Cedar Crest Rd, Arrowbear Lake, CA 92382 in the San Bernadino Mountains. Directions can be found on their website at www.campcedarcrest.net JUNIOR HIGH Camp is Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th SENIOR HIGH Camp is Monday, July 27th through Friday, July 31st Unlike recent years there will be camp fires, swimming, and wildlife at camp. Dysfucntional 2009 Foursquare Southwest District Youth Camps Here's the latest; No longer is Arizona it's own Foursquare District. That means the way we do camp will be changing. We are now part of the Southwest District which has 174 churches compared to the former district's 34 churches. That requires that we have two camps. One will be for Jr Highers and the other for Sr Highers. Because of the many changes in regards to camp, please read all the info below and encourage your teens to do the same. Please find all the paperwork you need for camp below. Here are a few facts we need highlight... Again, camp is in California! We will enjoy both camps at Camp Cedar Crest which is located at 33325 Camp Cedar Crest Rd, Arrowbear Lake, CA 92382 in the San Bernadino Mountains. Directions can be found on their website at www.campcedarcrest.net JUNIOR HIGH Camp is Monday, July 13th through Friday, July 17th For those in Jr High, however that is broken down in your area. The deadline for registration is June 29th. SENIOR HIGH Camp is Monday, July 27th through Friday, July 31st For those in Sr High, however that is broken down in your area. The deadline for registration is July 13th. Cost per camper is $163. That has been left off the paperwork so that each church can set their camp cost to include other expenses (transportation, scholarships, etc.) Cost per leader is $82.50. Please make checks payable to "Southwest District" and mail to: Southwest District Summer Camp ATTN: Ruth Niemeyer P.O. Box 401400 Hesperia, Ca. 92340-1400 You will also need to fax Role Sheets and Financial Worksheets to (760) 962-1208 ATTN: Ruth Niemeyer. Camps starts Monday afternoon at 1p, BBQ lunch will be served at 1p. Camp ends Friday morning at 10a. T-shirts are not included with registration. They will be available at camp for $10 and no pre-ordering is necessary. Here are downloadable PDFs of all camp forms. Arizona Foursquare Youth Ministries exists to serve the youth workers of our movement in Arizona. Through them we will reach and serve Foursquare Youth all over (and sometimes beyond) our state. The growth and longevity of those youth workers is our primary focus. We do that by bringing them R.E.S.T. Resources. Such as a dedicated website and periodic eNewsletters. Encouragement. Networks of local youth workers meeting to help each other grow and last. Support. Formal coaching to overcome obstacles and reach the potential God has called them to. Training. An annual youth worker's summit event as well as a youth camp. Pastor Cameron Martin is the Student Ministries Pastor at Grace Chapel in Scottsdale as well as the Youth Ministry Representative for The Foursquare Church in AZ. Here are some resources that can benefit any youth leader. Most all youth ministry sites have some free resources on them. Also, if you subscribe to a particular site's e-Newsletter, they will usually send you freebies or tell you where you can find some. *The Source for Youth Ministry- Jonathan McKey's website. Everything is free! Games, topical curriculum, event ideas, skits, etc. Also, a great youth slang dictionary. *Youth Specialties- The gold standard. Great articles, resources and freebies. Also, the best e-newsletter. They also happen to publish my favorite youth ministry magazine, "Youthworker Journal". *Simply Youth Ministry- Doug Field's site. Great resources for sale, but don't miss the "Freebies" link on the left of the home page. *Sermon Central Free sermons and sermon outlines. Easy topical search. Not specifically youth oriented. *Youth Minstry.com- Group Publishing's youth ministry site. Great resources to buy, but lots of free stuff too. You do have to register though. *Pastor 2 Youth.com- Another site with lots of free stuff. Again, you will need to register. *Youth Pastor.com- Another site that is all about "free". *Josh McDowell- He also has a great page where you can find his reasearch and speaking notes. It's hard to find though. So, click HERE for that page. *Youth Ministry Spot - A youth ministry site that allows youth workers to share ideas. Again, free. *Seek and Find.org- An excellent site for seekers and for those coming along side them. You can type in any qustion or topic and get a scripture based article to answer and enlighten. *Dare 2 Share- Greg Steir's site. Great evangelism ideas. *Capture Their Hearts A joint effort of Dare 2 Share and Focus on the Family. Teens and youth workers can sign up for devotional emails. The best part is youth workers can sign up for free weekly curriculum that follows those emails and will work even if the kids aren't doing the dailies. Also, parents can also sign up for weekly follow up guides to talk with their teens about the devotions. *Acquire The Fire- Ron Luce and Teen Mania's site. *Center for Parent/Youth Understanding- A great resource for youth culture information. *Ypulse- Daily news and commentary about youth from a media and marketing perspective. *Online Spiritual Gifts Test- An online tool to help you discover where your strengths are within the seven main spiritual giftings. *Youth Link Ministries- Bob Dunn's site. A must if you are a youth worker in AZ and would like to get to know others who are doing what you're doing in your area. *National Network Of Youth Ministries- A great network and support site for youth workers. *Foursquare Forms Also, check out the Links and Study pages for more great resources!
