Have you heard about the Table yet? It's a private social network, just for our church, that enables us to connect 24/7.
You might think, "I'm already on Facebook and Twitter, I don't need another social network." The Table isn't meant to replace these, but instead to complement them as a more intimate and private online space for our Grace Chapel family to engage with each other in ways that Facebook or Twitter can't do. For example...
Use our Prayer Wall to share prayer requests with others here at Grace Chapel and to respond to the requests of others. You can configure the Table to notify you when people from your campus or one of your groups (or anyone at Grace Chapel) have requested prayer and you can ask to be notified when people have prayed for you. You can even write a note of encouragement when you pray for a prayer request. You can also post prayer requests completely anonymously.
Browse the People and Groups Directory to find people and small groups that live or meet near you and who share your interests. Pictures allow you to recognize the person you've met on the Table who responded to your prayer request with an encouraging comment. A map view allows you to find people and groups around your neighborhood, and get in touch with them.
Use the Serve App to let the rest of your church family here at Grace Chapel know when you have a need or to find those who have needs that you might be able to help meet. Find volunteer opportunities or list items you are willing to share or give away to others at the church.
These are just some of the things you can do on the Table. We really hope you'll give it a try by signing up, filling out your profile with a photo and some getting-to-know-you info, and then checking out the Prayer Wall, the Serve App, and the Directory. You can sign up for the Table here.
