Mission to LA 2008
In June of 2006 I took a group of teens to Los Angeles and partnered with the Dream Center there for the most incredible mission trip ever. On July 28th we will return.
All hyperbole aside, this is a trip that everyone should do at least once.
We will spend 5 days ministering with the 100s of volunteers in some of the over 200 ministries with which the DC helps over 30,000 people EVERY WEEK!
They are situated directly between downtown LA and Hollywood. Last time we minsitered to homeless teens at Venice Beach, to a sea of homeless people in downtown LAs Skid Row, to inner city children with Metro Kidz, the traveling "Sunday School" class, witnessed to homeless on Hollywood Blvd and took a prayer walk through the highly homosexual community of North Hollywood. This time we will do TWICE AS MUCH MINISTRY!
On a more personal note, we will also attend worship service at the very first Foursquare Church- Angeles Temple. And, we will spend the last day of our trip at Disneyland and our last night at the Disneyland Hotel.
This is a truly life changing trip. You already speak the lanuage. You don't need a passport. And you don't need a class on how to apply what you experience to your home country... because you are already there!
What you do need is to complete the paperwork and get your deposit in. The trip cost is $580. That includes all transportation, food, lodging, including at Disney.
We will leave from Grace Chapel on Monday morning July 28th at 7am and return to Grace Chapel Sunday night August 3rd at around 8p.
An $80 deposit is due on May 14th. the balance is due June 21st.
